ד"ר פרדו חוקר את חשיפתם הנשימתית והעורית של עובדים לגורמי סיכון כימיים, פיסיקליים וביולוגיים העלולים לגרום לתחלואה מקצועית.

כמו כן עוסק במחקרים המנסים להעריך את משקלם של הגורם האנושי והארגוני בהתרחשות תאונות עבודה. חלק מהמחקרים נעשים בשיתוף עם מוסדות אקדמיים.
