ד"ר יהודית קאהן הינה כלכלנית המתמחה במחקר בכלכלת המזרח התיכון. היא בעלת תואר שלישי בהצטיינות יתרה בכלכלה אזורית מאוניברסיטת אקס מרסיי 3, צרפת. יהודית חוקרת את השפעות ההגירה על העוני והאי-שוויון במדינות המזרח התיכון בעיקר בטורקיה, מצרים ומרוקו.
בשנתיים האחרונות העבודה שלה עוסקת במחקר תיאורטי ומעשי על שיתוף פעולה מסחרי ותעשייתי של ישראל ושכנותיה עמן היא כרתה הסכמי שלום - מצרים וירדן. פרויקט מחקר זה בוחן את הקשרים הכלכליים שהתפתחו בין ישראל ושכנותיה לאור הן הפוטנציאל הכלכלי והן המגבלות והמכשולים הפוליטיים.
