Shachar Shalev | Biotechnology (B.Sc.), 2009

I completed my bachelor's degree in biotechnology at Hadassah Academic College. The lectures and instruction were excellent, and I found that all students receive personal attention from faculty and staff.

While I was working on my B.Sc. at Hadassah, I learned that the degree would qualify as pre-med studies (in Israel, most medical students directly enter into a six year medical program without completing a bachelor's degree first). I immediately decided that I wanted to pursue advanced studies in medicine. The B.Sc. program in biotechnology put me in the perfect position to make that leap. It was a fabulous starting point for a career in medicine.

Today I am a medical student at Tel Aviv University, and I am very pleased with the decision I made first study biotechnology at Hadassah College. My experiences there set me on the path to where I am today.

The bottom line is that Hadassah Academic College is a place that respects its students and takes them seriously. A biotechnology degree from Hadassah gives graduates a wide range of employment opportunities, not only in medicine but in all areas of science.
