Yossi Dahn | Biotechnology (B.Sc.), 2006

I get to work in pure biotechnology, in a fascinating career based on my academic studies.

Hadassah College was my second home. Not only because of the large amount of time I spent there, but mainly thanks to the excellent care and interactions I received from the faculty and management. A lot of my positive experience stems from the educational opportunities offered outside the classroom. For example, together with a friend in my class, I worked on a project to help teach computer skills to people in the community from low socio-economic backgrounds. This project was a great success. Because of our work on this project, my classmate and I were invited to a conference of the Hadassah Women's Organization in the United States, which we attended with the former President of Hadassah College.

It's important for me to note that the atmosphere of the school is amazing. Also, the facilities are impressive and the College has the most modern and advanced equipment available for students. For me, Hadassah Academic College is a warm and embracing place offering its students personal attention, and faculty who invest their time and energy even after school hours. The College also allows students to have much more hands on learning opportunities than what are available in most other undergraduate programs around the country. This laboratory work is very important for students' practical success in the field after graduation.

Since graduation, I've worked as at a pharmaceutical company called Rafa Laboratories. I work as a quality control supervisor in a sterile department which produces sterile injectable drugs. My job oversees the entire production process, from the preparation to the finished product. In addition, I am responsible for training employees, performance reviews, investigation of any production irregularities, writing and modifying procedures and approval of product release.
