Nurturing an Entrepreneurial Perspective

As a catalyst for change, The Blender has been instrumental in fostering an entrepreneurial mindset across the college. Our tailored programs and activities serve as vital stepping stones into the realms of innovation and entrepreneurship. From guest lectures by industry luminaries and in-depth workshops to hackathons and challenges, including our renowned pre-accelerator program, we are laying down the groundwork for a culture of innovation that promotes cross-cultural synergy and collaboration among our diverse academic community.

Our Impact: A Testament to Innovation

The Blender has made significant strides in the world of innovation:

  • Global Engagement: Participating in international hackathons addressing pivotal issues like the future of higher education and violence against children.

  • On-campus Initiatives: Hosting HACathons and venture competitions focused on leveraging technology for individuals with Aphasia, for example, showcasing our commitment to social impact.

  • Pre-Acceleration Program: An intensive 10-week journey covering all facets of entrepreneurship, from ideation to market validation. To date, the program has nurtured 37 teams/ventures, leading to remarkable achievements such as patent filings, international competition wins, substantial fundraising efforts, and applications to esteemed incubation programs.

The Blender prides itself on creating an inclusive environment that reflects HAC’s diverse community. Our programs are carefully designed to empower women entrepreneurs, provide entrepreneurial pathways for Ultra-Orthodox students, and level the playing field for Arab-speaking students, ensuring that innovation knows no bounds.
