Apathy is a key early warning sign of dementia. This lecture will discuss the uses of virtual reality and physiological testing to quantify apathy and assess dementia risk.

 

Dr. Shlomit Zorani has a Ph.D. in Medical Sciences (Tel Aviv University, 2023), an M.Sc. in Vision Science (Bar-Ilan University, 2018), and a B.Sc. In Optometry (Bar-Ilan University, 2016). Currently she is a postdoctoral researcher at the Sagol Brain Center at Sheba Hospital, where she is involved in a project with the Center for Advanced Technologies in Rehabilitation (CATR) on visual perception and related brain diseases. In addition to her research, Dr. Zorani teaches Optometry at Hadassah Academic College.
