Gal Genossar is an accomplished film director with a passion for telling diverse and impactful stories that resonate with a broad range of audiences. Gal began his career as a cinematographer on various feature films, honing his technical and artistic skills behind the camera. His directorial debut came with the suspense drama Room 101 (2012), followed by The Garden Keeper (2014), an innovative blend of 3D animation and live-action. These films garnered awards and international recognition, setting the stage for Gal’s dynamic career.

In 2019, Gal expanded his creative reach by directing a children's series for the Hope Channel, and later that year, he directed a biblical period film for the ultra-Orthodox community, notable for its portrayal of strong female protagonists.

Recent projects include The Monopol (2023), an award-winning historical short film about a family during the Holocaust of the Macedonian Jews, and Drone Pilot (2024), a documentary about Medhat Yosef that was tragically killed at the start of the Second Intifada. Produced for the Public Broadcasting Corporation, this documentary is currently being showcased at international festivals. Gal’s latest feature, House Arrest (2025), explores themes of family, faith, and redemption and is currently in post-production.

Gal holds a B.F.A. in film and television and is a graduate of Sapir Academic College, with additional training from the Chubbuck Acting Course.
